The Way Love Changes You; Book One: Love's Firsts by redisle_love

Love can feel empowering. Love can be deadly. It can be the greatest thing to ever happen. It can be the biggest mistake that can't be reversed. It can feel like a dream come true. It can feel like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Love changes people in many ways, from mild to severe, whether it's beneficial or detrimental in anybody's life, no matter if you're lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, or a person who just loves people without a label. How does love change you? ******* It's like your basic high school love story, except it's with adults in their early-mid 20s, and they're either still in college or have graduated from college and have jobs. It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? [Content/Trigger Warnings- the main warnings are scenes of sexual activity, and suicidal talk/attempt, along with mentions of said attempt. Everything else is listed inside the book! 🏳️‍🌈 AROACE REPRESENTATION 🏳️‍🌈 TRANS PROTAGONISTS Thing is i like trouble, mess, the adrenaline of hitting the legs when things go wrong (even tho I'm not a good runner). I like to make things right by the wrong and that is pretty much everything you should need to know, but sometimes i bump into real problems, real pigs, even hyper-fast hedgehogs (I'm not gonna explain) And other times i cross with all of this at once and that's the story I'm gonna tell, one of the biggest messes i got into and i could not regret it less. I do not regret getting caught doing the paste-ups, or falling from my bike because of a flying rock, or having to eat wasabi chips. I do not regret any of the vandalism, throwing punches, mocking, being rude, being bossy or being me. In fact, being me and doing shit was one of the best things I've ever did for myself, for the city and for my family. So if you are interested in what I have to say, or if you already don't like me and want to see me getting waisted a couple of times, i think this story can be for you. And hopefully can teach you a couple of things. That's for doing mistakes, for counting stars, for being unapologetically, for spraying the message. ⚠️ Tw: transphobia, lgbtphobia, violence, harassment, parental abuse, slurs, agressive language and more.

GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? What matters now is I'm getting help, right? That's what they tell me here. They tell me that the road to recovery feels like a terrible butt fuck, but the fact that you're on the path to begin with, is all that matters. So as I sit in this circle of fuck ups, I realize just how different I am from them. I didn't attempt suicide because my mother was a crack addict who didn't want me. My father wasn't abusive. I didn't have a sibling die in a car accident. I was never really bullied either. I attempted suicide because, for the first time in years, I thought I had found something that could make me feel again... and after not feeling much at all for far too long, perhaps I went a bit overboard
