"If you spend the night at my place I could ensure you got a full eight hours." Stein says.

"Yeah and I'd have one less kidney." Spirit says.

"You only have one." Stein says.

Spirit presses his hand onto his side with a panicked expression.

"Kidding." Stein says.

"You and Lord Death's jokes are not funny anymore." Spirit says waving his hand and walking away.

After a few pages of reading Spirit speaks.
"You know this reminds me of us when we were students at the academy."

Stein looks up at Spirit and raises an eyebrow at him.

"You were usually more interested in talking than reading. I see that hasn't changed." Stein says looking back down at his book.

Spirit frowns a little but sees that Stein has a small smile on his face while he reads.

Spirit closes the book in his hands and grabs another.

He opens it and thumbs through the first few pages.

Spirit's eyes flicker over to Stein every paragraph or so.

Stein rests his chin on his hand and continues scanning the texts.

"I missed you too Spirit." Stein says.
