"Silas?" She calls out.
He nearly chokes at her voice. Gosh the feeling he gets from her voice alone. No such thing can replace it.
"Yes baby?" He remains rooted in place
She doesn't scream. Not yet.
Her legs are tangled in the sheets, her arms shaking, but she doesn't run.
"Why are you here?" she asks.
Her voice is trembling, but not just with fear.
Silas tilts his head, taking a small step forward.
