However, fate's wicked sense of humor seems to take interest in Angela when trouble takes on the name of Billy Hargrove. The rebellious yet annoyingly charismatic boy had enough of a reputation to keep Angela's fascination at bay with wariness. But it isn't until a chance encounter spirals into passionate exchanges that things flip entirely. But one evening when they're met with a creature not of this world, the two suddenly become aware that a mystery gleams in the muted tones of Hawkins. A mystery they've now found themselves weaved into. Bound by their shared knowledge of the small town's secrets, passion wanes to quiet intimacy, where healing is possible. And perhaps enough to grow into something stronger, kinder than what they had ever had before. But will it be able to endure the burgeoning darkness that soon overshadows them all?
