This poem reflects the emotional journey of a woman who has been let down by two men in her life. The first man, whom she helped unconditionally, took advantage of her love and support without ever showing care or appreciation. The second man promised to treat her like a queen and showed her kindness, only to abandon her when he found someone new, breaking all the promises he made. She gave her heart to both of them, still wondering why her fate turned out this way !

All of me, the hard parts of flesh you could never seem to love, drips down the drain. I am waiting for the day for your fingers to unscrew the pipes, dig through debris and mess, scrape your heart against the rust, just to find me, so we can go through it all over again. Here, in the pages I find myself, in the ink that writes against my flesh, I will whisper the sadness, the heartache, and the decaying for all of the unspoken.
