A month had passed. Thirty days since Noelle disappeared from his life.

Niall hadn't seen her, hadn't heard from her, hadn't even caught a glimpse of her slipping into her apartment late at night. And now, even that was gone. The apartment-her apartment-was empty. Cleared out like she had never even lived there. Like she was never coming back.

At first, he had convinced himself she'd stop by, that maybe she'd left a few things behind, a book, a jacket-something. But when he went back one last time, the place was stripped of everything Noelle. No hidden perfume scent in the air, no stray bobby pins on the counter. Nothing.

And that's when it hit him.
