The year is 2019, and in Battery City, the Draculiods from Better Living Industries are trying to take over the world. But the rebels known as the Killjoys survive as outcasts in this world, trying to fight against Korse Morrison, leader of the Draculiods. 

Jenna is an outsider, living on the outskirts of Battery City with Tommy, a little boy she had rescued.

Party Poison, leader of a group of Killjoys, meets Jenna and offers a place to live and to train to become a Killjoy. She accepts and her and Tommy train in the ways of a rebel.

Jenna begins to fall in love with Party Poison, and he feels the same way about her.

But someone living among the Killjoys is plotting against them.
