Salsa with a gangster

Michelle is a 24-year-old philosophy student living in a small town somewhere in Colorado. She gets bouts of depression after finding out about the cheating of her boyfriend, with whom they were in a relationship for five years. To help her, her two besties, Hanna and Nicole, decide to take her to a beach resort in southwestern Mexico for a few days. There, while partying in the evening, she meets Diego, a mysterious but handsome hotel guest, with whom she matches pairs in a salsa dance. They spend time on the dance floor together almost every evening and Michelle begins to feel a little better. But how will she react to the fact that her companion in the dance is actually a dangerous gangster, an arms and drug trafficker who has planned his gangster hijinks with members of another gang in this hotel. Michelle has caught his eye and the man has no plans to let her go easily.
