Riley Wilson has and will forever be mistaken for being a boy.
Not only has she had her hair cut prominently to her shoulders since it grew to that length, but she is always hanging with the boys, because the girls think she is one.
Only having grown up around male figures, especially ones that are significantly older, its tricky to know the difference. It's hard to know how to act like a women, when you don't know one that doesn't throw disgusting looks your way, all because of your father.
Her life turned upside down, the day that her 4 older brothers decided to join the ongoing war. Not one, two, three, but four of them, decided to do this, and follow in their father's footsteps. But what they didn't know, was by doing this, Riley would forever hate them for a decision that they had every control over, but they will beg to change the narrative at any chance that they get.
"You did this to me; you made me. This is who I am, and if you don't want it, go serve a country that doesn't feed the hungry, save the hurting and cradle the lost"
Riley lives in fear every single day of her life, and people push her to her limits, when they don't understand her fear. How could someone be so afraid of someone that she lives with but would rather jump in a car with people they don't know? Only Riley knows the truth, and that's the way she likes it. That's how she's going to keep it.
"I don't understand how someone has grown up being surrounded by men for her entire life, yet she can't even look me in the eye, and calls me sir. It's like she doesn't know me"
"A stranger has never hurt me like the people I know have. They would rather walk away from me, then walk towards me with a belt in hand, and demand that I lay down at their feet"
