Tsunade left the village and Jiraiya searched for her. Will he be able to help her get past the trauma and pain of losing the people she loved? (Jiraiya/Tsunade fic) So, I'm not well-versed in Naruto but I am so in love with Tsunade and her story. I think she got the best backstory and the best arc. I also felt that she got downplayed as the series went on and the wasted potential of her and Jiraiya was a crime. This is me trying my hand on this world so bear with me.

Tsunade can vividly recall the last time she saw Jiraiya, his lips pressed on her forehead his arms wrapped around, her making her feel warm and safe I'll be back he promised in her ear, and she had hold on, she had believed him, two years, it will only be more or less, a year, what could possibly change in those two years right? It's not like she will go anywhere Unfortunately for her, faith has a way of contradicting what she always believed in, while Jiraiya travelled the world Tsunade met someone new, someone who made her heart flutter And she would be guilty if Dan didn't make her happy, make her believe in love, a year she had spent that year with Dan But Jiraiya came back as promised. Though he was different from the boy who used to lighten up every room he stepped into, he's so different, and so far away It shouldn't bother her, it shouldn't, but somewhere along the line the unsettled feelings she had for him had always been there With Dan wanting their relationship to take a step further, what would she do when her heart seems to want different things? Waiting for someone who will never return home? Life has a funny way of twisting faith and only strong one endures, will Tsunade figure out who she truly wants or will she lose that love forever?
