A fanfic.

Peter Sutherland and Rose Larkin of The Night Agent.

Summary:

A year and half had passed. The election was over. Hagan was now the newly-elected POTUS. With this change, most of the Night Action operations were hanging in the balance. But Peter's off-the-books mission with the previous administration and Catherine continued, as his allegiance with Jacob Monroe flourished.

The plan was to expose Hagan for the fundings he received from illegal connections during election, but more than that by also lending aid and working with the enemies of the Nation for his official political actions. The evidences were almost complete. Peter was nearing the end of his mission.

His investigation took him deeper to what really happened to his father, however. He was ready to abandon the mission. To die a double agent traitor, just like his father. That was until he heard of Monroe's next information deal leading him to the last person he expected to see again-Rose. And Peter found himself thrust once more between the blurring lines of doing the right thing and following the rules and his orders.
