Started in the light, pulled to the dark ( a Sharkboy and lavagirl story)
I know what you must be thinking. Why not name this title ' the adventures of Sharkboy, lavagirl and whatever my name is'? Well because that would of ruin the whole story. For this is not really my story, i was not created as a dream. I'm an actual human and I did not come from max, nor planet drool. I was born on earth like every other normal child there is. The only thing different about me is that I have a special power. Although I don't seem to know about this power, nor understand how to use it I'm a main target for everyone. I can rather save everybody from a terrible event or destroy everyone within seconds. Because of this I am very weary around people and shy too. As I try my best to blend in it becomes harder and harder each day to keep my self from exposing this energy. The worse part is I don't even know I have it! Well not until later on. The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. After a careless scientific accident with new elements, people with supernatural abilities began to surface. Society adjusted, and social norms changed. Heroes and villians surfaced, making the world more complicated. Fast-forward one hundred years. Neera Sanchez fights for her survival as a supervillain. She does what she can to survive, inadvertently making her a target for the heroes. Behind her mask, she struggles in personal battles, alone. When her abusive boyfriend and her own fight against depression overtake her, she's introduced to the world of superheroes. Vincent Ciobanu is a new hero at a local base. The moon illuminated their serious masked faces and flashy suits, giving Neera the opportunity to figure out what powers they might possess. She kept her eyes halfway closed and studied them. Most of the suits were at least 75% black. One hero stuck out in her blue suit. It had no black on it. Neera was wary of the color of her suit. /How did I end up here?/ One of the heroes had surprised her with a lucky hit almost a minute ago. She had felt the impact and acted on it, diving to the ground. She had a better fighting chance against the six when they were caught off guard.
