His personality is shaped by the trauma of his past, leaving him emotionally reserved, but determined not to be weak or helpless again. As the story progresses, he grows emotionally and psychologically, learning what it truly means to fight for survival and face overwhelming odds.The plot begins when portals open around the world, connecting Earth to other dimensions, releasing monsters that threaten to destroy humanity. The awakened, those who gain magical powers from the portals, emerge-each person's strength is rated from Rank F to Rank S based on their magic and combat skills.Kai, in his lonely apartment, is the first to encounter the invasion. One night, a goblin, Rank F, suddenly breaks into his home. With no special abilities, Kai uses his wit and intelligence to survive, improvising with the surroundings to fight back. When the goblin gets too close, he throws a chair and, using its shattered pieces, stabs it in the head. A system window then appears before him, marking the start of his awakening.
