Phoenix was hated by most, and horribly poor. Often he'd sneak onto airships, stow away on trains, and normally hid in the worst parts of the floating city he called home. But there wasn't anything stopping him from finding what was a myth.
The last natural forest.
But it was located below the city and the only task at hand was to get down there.

After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living.
