My work captures the Romantic ideals of individual emotion because my poem is about a teenage girl who wants total freedom, but cannot have it because she has a physical disability that keeps her in a wheelchair. This is preventing her from doing most things on her own. She still has the mentality to speak and think, but doing things on her own physically hurts sometimes. In line 3, the word "this, " refers to her disability. The part I found most challenging was trying to make the poem emotional. This is because I had to think of how a fictional character I made would feel in their life; I had to put myself in another person's shoes. Romantic writers might have viewed the world differently than writers from earlier periods because they were more in touch with their emotions and feelings. This makes them more genuine to people and to themselves by being in touch with their feelings.

Just because you different it doesn't make you a freak or a weirdo, being different makes you unique and importantly it makes you You. Promises were broken, By words left unspoken, Friendships clasped untied, By truth that are hidden in lies, Years of secret coded memories are taken away, By blood forces that bind yet led me astray.~ Dear friend Read on to find the entire poem. I take requests(because I love challenges) but the poem will still be mine:) I hope you enjoy my poems and these are rightfully mine so please don't steal. Thank you:)
