Tori, Holly, Julie, and Samantha starting their first year in college find each other and begin to share lunch together and their lives. Each from different backgrounds, they share their successes, disappointments, and the excitement of the first semester of their freshman year in college. **** College-is it what you expected? Is it what you hoped for? Or is it sometimes -and you don't hardly breathe it to yourself--is it sometimes what you feared? Success-is it within your grasp? Can you really make all your dreams and hopes come true? You? Tori, Holly, Samantha, and Julie, first semester freshmen at the university on the hill, don't voice those questions. Not when they have lunch together, not when they study, not when they party. But the questions hang in the air all around them. Finding each other, they figure, is one of the saving graces of their lives. Or is it? Why do there have to be conflicts? Why do somebody else's decisions have to cause you problems? How do you work it out? You have to work it out. Because nobody wants to go it alone. Not for a hot minute.

"How can I trust you, when all you've done was lie to me?" Leah questioned Christian. "Leah how many times do I have to apologize? I know I fucked up, okay I know I hurt you. Okay we all feel like complete shit. Just please, give us a chance." He said, pleading. "I need time. Just please in the mean time stay away from me." I quickly walk off avoiding any conversation with him. I can't trust them. As much as I want to there's a possibility that I could've ended up as their next victim. Leah Banks tries to start a new chapter in her life without her friends, and the drama that comes with them. She tries to make a better living for herself even if it means leaving Washington State itself.
