Mahogany, Charisma, and Jakira prepare for a night out at Charisma's loft, taking shots and making mixed drinks before heading to The Bean, a new bar for queer Black women. The space is alive with energy, filled with beautiful people, sultry music, and flirtatious tension. They meet Tay and Mina, a pair with undeniable chemistry-one smooth, the other sharp. As conversations flow, drinks pour, and bodies press together on the dance floor, a playful and suggestive atmosphere builds. By the end of the night, the lingering question isn't just where they'll go next-but with whom. Where will this freaky fivesome encounter in the night to come?

"Are you... lost?" Someone asked, her tone impatient. I stopped scanning the room to find the woman behind the voice. I blinked. She had the most luminous blue eyes I had ever seen. Even in the dim glow of the bar they glowed brightly, like her pupils were some type of smooth stone at the bottom of a clear blue ocean. Within her blue there flickered tiny speckles of silver, which gave her an icy, somewhat stony appeal. But it was her slight, lopsided smile that erased any signs of wanting to be alone. No wonder this bar was so popular. "Uh, no," I said, holding up the Help Wanted sign I had snagged from the front window. The woman's cool eyes flickered between the sign and me. She didn't say anything, only looked slightly thoughtful as slender fingers raked through her long blonde hair. "What can you do?" She finally asked, definitely not expecting me to be able to do much of anything at all. She'd be right. "Anything and everything," I answered-lied-instantly, hoping I didn't look too desperate, didn't sound too eager. To be perfectly honest, I hadn't worked a day in my life. My hands were used to weekly manicures not hard labor. But desperate times call for desperate measures. The blonde appeared thoughtful again. Those magnificent eyes gave me a once over, slow and steady. You could see the cogs turning in her head as she considered it. I decided to try and sound more convincing. "I have many skills," I added. Okay, so I stole that from Xena, but I was hoping it worked as well for me as it did for her. The blonde lifted a sculpted brow and the smile was, once again, back on her lips. She seemed amused. Maybe she was a Xena fan? "Alright... I'll start you off cleaning the bathrooms, sweeping the floors, doing the dishes..." Crap.

Prologue In the bustling city of New York, there lived a young aspiring artist named Y/n. She had dreams as big as the skyscrapers that towered over her, and her heart beat to the rhythm of the city's vibrant energy. Y/n spent her days working odd jobs and her nights pouring her soul into her art, hoping one day to make her mark on the world. One evening, Y/n found herself at a local art gallery, showcasing her latest masterpiece-a painting that captured the essence of empowerment and strength. As she stood nervously by her artwork, she noticed a figure entering the gallery, radiating an aura of confidence and grace. It was none other than Beyoncé, the iconic singer and symbol of female empowerment. Y/n's heart skipped a beat as Beyoncé made her way through the gallery, admiring the artwork on display. With each step, Beyoncé exuded power and elegance, captivating everyone in the room, including Y/n. As their eyes met, Y/n felt a connection unlike anything she had ever experienced before. Unable to resist the pull, Y/n approached Beyoncé, her voice trembling with excitement. "Hi, I'm Y/n," she said, her cheeks flushed with a mix of nervousness and admiration. Beyoncé smiled warmly, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Nice to meet you Y/n. Your artwork is truly remarkable." Y/n's heart soared at Beyoncé's compliment, and before she knew it, they were engrossed in conversation, discussing art, music, and life in the city. With each word exchanged, Y/n felt herself falling deeper under Beyoncé's spell, drawn to her magnetic presence and inspiring spirit. As the night wore on, Y/n and Beyoncé found themselves lost in the magic of the moment, their connection growing stronger with each passing second. It was as if fate had brought them together, weaving their destinies into a beautiful tapestry of love and passion.

The first time Camila heard the song, she thought it was a trick of the current. A soft, haunting melody drifted through the water, threading through the coral like a whisper. She adjusted her mask, exhaling slowly, the sound of her own breath too loud in the stillness. Then it came again-low, aching, impossibly beautiful. Her pulse quickened. She had spent years chasing this sound, following reports from fishermen and myths from island elders who spoke of a voice that called only to the lonely, the lost. A siren, they said, but not the kind who lured sailors to their doom. This one sang only for one person. And somehow, impossibly, it was singing for her. Camila followed the sound, pushing through the water, her flashlight beam cutting through the darkness. Then, she saw movement. Not a fish, not a shadow, but something else entirely. A woman. She hovered just beyond the reef, golden eyes catching the light. Her hair swayed like seaweed, her skin shimmered in shades of blue and silver. She should have been impossible. Camila's lungs burned, but she couldn't look away. The woman lifted a hand, fingers curling in invitation. And then, just as Camila's vision blurred, she felt arms around her, pulling her upward. Breaking the surface, gasping for air, she blinked against the salt spray. For a moment, she thought she had imagined it all. But the song still echoed in her ears. And when she looked back down into the deep, those golden eyes were still watching.
