Elizabeth Miller, hija del detective Miller, una chica dulce, alegre, extrovertida, atraviesa, graciosa, una chica que ve lo positivo y lo bueno en todas las circunstancias. 

Sus padres han estado divorciados desde que ella tiene memoria así que Elizabeth al cumplir los 13 años es enviada a Denver con su padre Lara estar más tiempo con el, sin imaginar que su madre la mando en el peor momento de todos, hay una ronda de secuestros de niños de su edad.

Elizabeth trata de cuidarse lo más que puede ya que su padre casi no lo presta atención, al explorar el pueblo logra hacer amigos, sin imaginar que eso terminaría muy mal.... Y que ella terminaría secuestrada....
