Ziah Lemine is going to be the new Alpha of her pack. Being alpha is all she wants right now. Though she would like a mate too. The night of her acceptance ceremony her wish comes true. Well actually both of them. When an Alpha is attacked by rogues on the south side of her newly inherited territory, she finds her mate. Only problem is he's a self absorbed, cocky, extremely handsome and arrogant Alpha.

Darren Schofield is the Alpha of the Clear Springs pack. He really doesn't have time to go to some little girl's acceptance ceremony. Especially when the job should've gone to a male. When his parents drag him by the ears to the ceremony, he instantly feels a connection with the girl. Only after he's attacked by rogues, and saved by her does he realize not only her qualification to the job, but that she's his mate. One problem though: He doesn't want a mate yet.

Everything I went through was worth it. "Don't worry, mommy's coming," I said in a baby voice hoping to comfort him even though he wasn't crying. My heart dropped in my chest when I saw it was empty. No baby in sight. "Gray!," I screamed loudly like I was getting stabbed over and over again. He ran into the nursery, scanning the area for any danger. "He's gone! Our baby's gone!" His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes softened realising what happened. Just as quick as it came, it vanished and he was back with the icy look in his eye. The one he had when we first met. 35 parts Complete Mature
Eve has always been an independent wolf within her pack. She doesn't like much to be defended or treated like she can't take care of herself. It's for that reason that when Jay, a descendent in the Alpha bloodline, tries to make her his mate that no one believes she is not his. To them it is her attempt at maintaining her independence rather than giving into her mate. The problem is, Jay isn't her mate. None of the current pack members are; because her mate is Tristan, a human. Eve understands the danger in her forbidden love and tries for years to stay away but always gets drawn back in. Her best friend and pack Beta, Chris, encourages her to go after her mate not considering what consequences can stem from it. Eve wants to be with Tristan more than anything. Tristan wants to get his final shot at the girl who makes him feel whole. And Jay wants Eve; at all costs. As if they all didn't have enough problems, someone is making it their goal to kill wolves. The pack has their suspicions on who it is but when the answer is revealed it is something none of them ever saw coming. Forbidden Love. Hatred. Anger. Exile. Death. The lives of this pack and of Tristan are all about to change, for better or worse. And in the end, some wolves may not be running again... *Dedicated to my best friend Elizabeth!! A graduation gift from me since you would not stop until I wrote. So, hope you enjoy it. ;D *Rated R for scenes of gore and strong language*
