Ashley Sommers is the type of girl that don't care about what people think about her. She is carefree. She has just one friend, Sam Montez. They are best friends since they were 5. Ashley didn't have a boyfriend nor alot of friends. But she didn't care. She didn't think about the past or the future, she thought about the present. It wasn't "Because that moment somply was" or "Because that momente will simply be". For her, is "Because this moment simply is". But her life was normal and a little empty. Her parents were divorced and she didn't saw her father since she was 7. And she will never see him again, cause he died in a car accident. But after the fourth of July, everything changed.
