My name is Vivian Moon. I am a Shifter. I am alone.

Or so I thought.

Seventeen-year-old Vivian Moon has lived a lonely life. Constantly haunted by her parents' death, she's stuck living with her abusive uncle in a small two-story house in the tiny town of RedBrook. And that's not the only thing. On top of her less-than-stellar life, Vivian isn't even human. She's what humans call a Shifter. A dangerous and beautiful species, Shifters look like ordinary humans - just with wings. Basically like a giant eagle - person, Vivian struggles continuously to keep her secret and has never opened up to anyone. There are still some things that not even her best friend Eve knows.

However, things get a little interesting when a new student named Damien Black suddenly makes an appearance at Vivian's high school. His new arrival and mysterious aura make for one hell of a reputation, and Vivian gets the most disturbing feeling that he's hiding something. Things get even weirder when Damien starts to hang around Vivian more and more. And man, is he annoying. His arrogance level mixed with his gigantic ego makes for one big head. However, Vivian starts to see another side of him and, as much as she hates to admit it, starts to feel drawn to him. The two grow closer and closer until it seems that not even the gods themselves can get rid of Damien.

Sadly, only one thing is holding Vivian back, and that's her fear of trust. Sure, she trusts Eve, but a boy is a whole separate story. It's up to her whether or not she'll let her guard down for once and let Damien in. Will she actually be able to find love?
