This is book one of the Where the Darkness Hides series. The purpose of my posting this story on this website is for peer opinions/constructive criticism on how to improve the story. 

Story summary: Forced to finish a demon-war his ancestors started, Lukas must grapple with the challenges of leading a shattered army, and find a way to mend his wavering sanity. With the threat of the darkling army rapidly approaching, can the heroes find the legendary "Life Flower", the source of all life on earth, before it falls into enemy hands. Present day we find ourselves in a small city named New Haeven that has become the centre of the secret world of light and dark.The current story follows a Guardian by the name of Ronin. Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs.The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. The story continues on with Ronin seeking answers from the Elders about how a Guardian could come back from the dead.
