In the heart of a realm where dragons soared and flames danced, Queen Katherine ruled with an iron will. Her fiery hair matched her spirit, although she hides it, and her eyes held the secrets of ancient empires. She was the Queen of Hellfire, feared by enemies and revered by allies.
But fate wove a treacherous tapestry. By the age of eighteen, tradition demanded that Katherine find a husband-a king to share her throne. Yet, her heart had long been ensnared by a knight named Jon. His eyes, the color of forest wood, held promises of valor and whispered love. Together, they forged a kingdom from the molten ashes of battles won.
Their love was a fortress, walls impenetrable. They laughed in the face of adversity, their swords singing harmonies of victory. But life, capricious and cruel, had other plans. One fateful night, misfortune tiptoed into their chambers, leaving behind a poisoned chalice. Their daughter, Ally, lay still, her innocence stolen by unseen hands.
Katherine's grief was a tempest. She tore through the castle, seeking answers. And there, in the dim candlelight, she discovered the truth-a betrayal more venomous than any poison. Jon, her knight, her love, had dallied with Jasmine, the ethereal Queen of the Fairies. Their forbidden union had cost Ally her life.
And the stars above wept, for even they knew that vengeance, once sown, could never be unmade.
She vowed vengeance, her heart a forge stoked by fury.
Yet the whispers in the wind sound like ally weeping cries. How could Katherine ever come to love another after such betrayal.
(This is still being worked on but I wanted to see if 'it's even worth writing. Feed back will be appreciated<3)
"It's a fairy tale curse Casey," he told me. "A fairy tale curse. A fairy tale cure."
"I still don't understand," I whined like a child. He gave me that beautiful half smile of his.
"It's very simple," he teased. The sun was fading...
"Just spit it out then," I shot back. It was almost gone... so close to gone... he leaned close, so close I could feel his breath on my ear... It tickled a bit.
"Just one kiss to break the spell."
**************
Casey Williams has always sort of believed in magic, but not for the childish reasons most people do. At 13 her brother and father were murdered by someone she was half sure she imagined... a monster. The whites of his eyes were black and the pupils snow white. The color was a hypnotizing golden, almost impossible to run from... but she did.
Now three years later she faces the same monster... only it isn't exactly how she planned their reunion. And she NEVER intended on falling in love with him.
