Y/N thought she had left her past behind. After barely surviving her final mission with A.E.G.I.S (Advanced Enforcement Group for Interspecies Security) she walked away from the life of combat and secrecy, trading it for the quiet comfort of a coffee shop and newfound friends who knew nothing of the horrors she once faced. But when an otherworldly threat emerges- one only she has the knowledge to fight- her past is dragged into the light.
As she struggles with the choice between protecting her new life and returning to the battlefield, she finds unexpected solace in Shadow the Hedgehog, whose own grief is stirred by her presence. She reminds him of someone he lost.

'Common Enemy' [Sonic 3 Inspired Fic]
Having come from Mobius, a once thought-to-be fictional world in which all of the Classic "Sonic The Hedgehog" characters live, a new super-powered, female Hedgehog arrives on Earth, looking to run away as she was being tracked down by echidna warriors. She soon finds herself hiding amongst the forests of what she later learns is "Green Hills" Montana before being spotted by another Hedgehog. As well as his family consisting of a two-tailed fox, echidna and two humans. Tom and Maddie. They get to know each other a bit, explaining each other's stories before being grouped together by an organization titled "G.U.N." and introduced to a new common enemy amongst the newly formed underdogs group, Shadow The Hedgehog. The group all go through highs and lows to keep this new common enemy at bay before a saddening past is revealed. The new female hedgehog makes it her new mission to keep this new enemy, who is swayed by heartbreak and pain and being used for something far greater beyond just simple revenge, at bay with hardened banter, endless ass-kicking and terrible, downright awful flirting and talk-me-downs before being discovered to hold a great power, one similar to the black and red hedgehog she was tasked to keep busy alongside others. Then, a new, odd, love-hate relationship starts to form between the two hedgehogs. It sparks and flares just as a huge revelation comes to light which requires the strengths of all 'alien' hedgehogs, humans, foxes and echidnas alike. All of the furry, non-furred and spiked friends then team up and take down those who deceived and manipulated. He had a bitter taste in his mouth. His throat pretty dry, hurting him when he try to swallow. Then finally his sight... blinking the blur away, his eyes opening to a white room, he squint his eyes because of the sunlight slipping in through the window next to him, blinding him. He slip out a groan out of his lips, after his brain start to work again, trying so hard to make sense of this situation. He hissed trying to starighten up to analyze around himself, leaning on the frame of the bed with a sigh. A headache piercing through his head. He forced his heavy hand up to his head and tried to stop the pain. With the pain, his memories became more confused and blurred. Still couldn't understand or remember what's going on, he felt more anixious by the minute. Before he can panic, a hand softly gripped his shoulder, gently urging him back towards the welcoming pillows. Seeing a blurry image of a royal blue figure his rapid heart beat slows down.
