They stood by the couch, sipping tea, their presence as commanding as ever.
Strong and independent, unshaken by the world, but not as cold-not with them.
They saw it in the way they glanced at him, in the way their lips curved into something almost tender.

They leaned against the counter, watching them like they were the only thing that mattered.
