In the land of Deltora, a once-great kingdom has fallen into darkness. The tyrannical Shadow Lord has seized control, spreading fear and despair, while the only hope for salvation is in the legendary Belt of Deltora - an artifact embedded with seven powerful gems by the first King. But the Belt has been shattered, its stones scattered across the land and hidden in treacherous, monster-infested locations.

Sung Hanbin - young, untested, but bound by dreams and hope - must reclaim the seven lost gems of the Belt of Deltora, the only hope of breaking the Shadow Lord's rule. 

Alone, he must go though deadly traps, outwit monstrous guardians, and resist the whispered temptations of despair.
