My Disastrous Idea

On their first day of sophomore year at Riverside Stem Academy, the narrator and Presley attend AP Biology class. They discuss their crush, Kaiden, and plan to make him like them. They buy a card filled with love and give it to Kaiden, who responds with a response of love. They plan a date at the mall, but Kaiden leaves, stating he doesn't like them. Presley asks about their day, and the narrator reflects on the experience, feeling tearful and embarrassed.
