Artemis winter has moved to a new town with her parents and siblings. they moved since Artemis is and a vampire since she has the gene but she hasn't drank human blood she isn't considered a powerful or real vampire. She's on the run since if I vampire finds her and finds out she's well ya know vampire will capture her and force her to become a full then make her join their coven.

Her parents are vampires but somehow they carry the gene which only Artemis contracted (so her siblings are norms) they don't want to hurt humans. But for Artemis if she doesn't drink human blood she won't be as strong as the others.
