Prologue: The Mysterious Girl
Rence wasn't the kind of player who'd scream "pro gamer" at the top of his lungs. No, he was just... decent. Not bad enough to get kicked from a team, but definitely not good enough to make his way to the top. He was the type who hovered around the low-tier ranks in Valorant, occasionally making flashy shots but often fumbling his way through rounds.
One day, his normal routine of playing with his friends hit a snag when he was queued with a new teammate: a girl with an eerie calmness to her, going by the name "Mystery". The first time they played together, she carried the team to victory... alone. Rence barely managed to stay alive, and when it ended, the girl's icy words were enough to make him question everything.
"Do you even know how to play clove?" she said, her voice smooth but filled with disdain. "Don't play the agent, if you don't know how to use her."
