Cole is a 22 year old surgical resident at St George hospital in London, who lives with his sister Amanda a 24 year old architect. Their mother Jennifer Tyson is a high profile lawyer in her forties who travels across the world to represent numerous clients and is rarely home. Their mother was their epitome of expression and one of the reasons they raised their heads up high to achieve whatever they attained in life. Things were great until one day when Mrs Jennifer lost her life in a plane crash when she was returning home for Christmas eve. Her death not only traumatized her kids but also left a palpable gap in the law industry in her country. There were 152 passengers on the plane which crashed and all of them lost their lives except for a 46year old flight engineer who ended up slipped into a coma after numerous surgeries which were necessary to save his life.
However the catastrophic plane crash, seemed to have occurred out of the blue because the pilots never declared a mayday call for an emergency landing.
When the National Transportation Safety Board, assigned the air crash investigators to figure out the cause of the crash, it was believed that the cause of the crash was a mechanical problem with the plane. But as they dig deep in the wreckage of the plane, they are surprised to find something more sinister. However the debris alone are unable to rule out the cause of the crash and the investigators need to walk extra miles to solve the mystery.
On the other hand, Cole falls who is on a journey of self discovery find himself falling in love with one of the air crash investigators, but he suppresses it because of things which happened in his past life.We also see different types of live triangles with other characters in the book, one of which was Cole's sister
Will Cole be able to express his feelings?
And if he doesn't how is he going to deal with it?
And will the investigators be to rule out the cause of the plane crash?

Betty was already a girlfriend to Peter, Oscar's younger brother. She gets pregnant for him but she aborts it not to make her parents know. She breaks up with Peter. Betty now forces Oscar to give her the first priority or risk losing Sweeney. He later plans to drop Sweeney in favour of Betty.
