In the year 2036, Sonia, Sonic and Amy's energetic daughter, engages in a fierce battle with Eggman. When Eggman strikes her with a powerful blow, Sonia is thrown into a portal and loses consciousness, washing up on a beach. Team Sonic finds her and helps her recover, but Sonia realizes she's stranded in 2014. The only way to return to her time is to find the Master Emerald, though she keeps her true identity a secret.

As Team Sonic from 2014 starts becoming fond of Sonia, they grow suspicious of her mysterious appearance and extraordinary skills. As she helps Team Sonic from 2014 in a battle with Eggman, she easily defeated him, leaving the team in awe. Her striking resemblance to Sonic only fuels their curiosity. Eventually, overwhelmed questions, Sonia reveals the truth: she's from the future and the daughter of Sonic and Amy. She explains how a portal sent her back, and the Master Emerald is the key to returning to 2036. Though the team is stunned, they agree to help her, understanding the risks of altering the timeline.

With Team Sonic's support, Sonia finds the Master Emerald and transforms into her Super form. As she prepares to return to her time, Sonia faces the difficult decision of whether to disrupt the timeline. To protect the future, she uses the Master Emerald's power to erase their memories and creates a portal back to 2036, vanishing into the future. Knowing she must let go of the past, Sonia leaves behind her friends, ensuring the timeline remains intact.
