Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. Scientists in the CDC lab try to genetically enhance a virus known as the Zika virus to try and fully understand how it was caused and how it can be stopped. The experiment was tested to far from its limits and became a deadly virus that is now air borne spreading it to anyone it came into contact with. The government tried to contain it, but it became to powerful to hide from the world, and the virus turned anyone it came into contact with, into man eating monsters. The missing link
Somewhere there's a link between the zombies and the humans, that we were once all human, until an accident of lime green soda. I am supposedly that missing link between the two. I like being different, I want to stand out, Seabrook is all about cheer, but I'm all about theatre. I was born with the blonde hair, and human colored pale skin, but my eyes are different colors. We think somewhere down the line a human fell in love with a zombie and just like Romeo and Juliet were pulled away. Since I was "normal" enough I can stay on the human side, my parents are great, but closeminded. My sister is wonderful, she's got something to hide too. To hide my eyes, I have to wear a contact in the one different colored eye, and supposedly I'm also just zombie enough that I need the Zband. I don't have many friends, mostly just my family, like my sister and my cousin. At least those who I consider family.... I do not own these charactersComplete

The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings.
