Galiterasu

Maiteneia is an entity that exists on the border of light and darkness, reflection and reality. Her essence is balance, an eternal dance between two beginnings that cannot exist without each other. She is a spirit, devoid of flesh but longing to experience the simplicity and grace of the physical world. Her masks, the twelve facets of her essence, reflect her inner struggle and harmony.

In this chapter, Maiteneia reflects on the nature of reality, how light and darkness are intertwined in her existence, and her relationship to spirit, which is her extension and opposite. She observes a world that favors lies over truth, hypocrisy over sincerity, and asks the question: what makes us human?

Her whim is not just a whim, but a desire to see the world from the height of a "funny tower" where she can be both actress and spectator. But in the silence, she realizes that her loneliness is the price for her essence. Her dream is not only to see her lover's reflection, but to meet him in the flesh, on the horizon where the sky meets the earth.
