Lila Hart lives by rules.
Rule #1: Always be two steps ahead.
Rule #2: Never mix friendship with feelings.
Rule #3: Avoid Carter James at all costs.

Lila's senior year is supposed to be simple-ace her classes, get into Columbia, and steer clear of distractions. Especially the cocky, charming football star, Carter James, who's been her personal annoyance since middle school. Their relationship is built on sarcasm, eye rolls, and exactly zero meaningful conversations.

But when a heated argument at a party ends with an unexpected kiss-one that's way too good to be an accident-Lila's carefully crafted rules start to fall apart. To save face, they agree to fake-date, convincing everyone (and maybe themselves) that the kiss meant nothing.

Only, pretending isn't as easy as it sounds. Between late-night study sessions, forced proximity, and the undeniable tension they can't seem to shake, Lila realizes that Carter isn't just her favorite person to argue with-he might be the one person who sees through her walls.

"The answer is 'A,'" I say, keeping my voice light and kind. Carter snorts from beside me. "No, it's 'C.'" Bingo. I was hoping he'd say that. "The question clearly asks you to round to the nearest tenth. If I'm not mistaken, which I don't believe I am, answer 'C' has two decimal places." I smirk as his mouth twitches into a frown. We're still standing. "Very well, Miss. Jones," Mr. Neilson says, projecting another question. "I can't stand you," Carter mumbles in my ear. I turn my head towards him, pressing my lips against his ear. "Then sit the fuck down, Conners," I whisper. "I'm winning." ... Fairridge Prep is for the best of the best. Sadie Jones, stubborn and clever, is set on being the best. Returning from winter break feeling, more so than ever, that she has stolen her sister's dream, Sadie is determined to spend the rest of Junior year proving that she deserves everything she's worked towards. Carter Conners, notorious flirt (only when it comes to Sadie), will do anything it takes to not spend the rest of his life working at his parents' diner. Whether it's running for the track team or debating, Carter is always competing, and competing to win. Sadie and Carter have been rivals since freshman year, constantly bickering and trying to best each other. But when the rivals are thrown into a week long debate competition that, along with getting the top spot on the Principal's List, will guarantee one of them the title of Valedictorian next year, they find themselves enjoying each other's company more than they would've ever expected. And it leaves them wondering: "Do we really hate each other?"

Alicia's senior year got a surprise twist when Vincent, her childhood enemy, enrolls at her high school. It all started with a problem - Alicia was having a tough time with physics, a subject that just didn't make sense to her. Her grades were dropping, and she was getting worried. Then, something unexpected happened: their physics teacher asked Vincent to help Alicia out as a tutor. Even though they'd never been friends, Vincent was actually quite skilled at physics and he stepped up to help her. But, there's another twist. Vincent wanted something in return. He wanted Alicia to pretend to be his girlfriend. Alicia was surprised by this proposal, feeling a mix of uncertainty and nervousness. Deciding what to do wasn't easy, and she wasn't sure how it might change her last year in high school. As they navigate their pretend romance, Alicia discovers a side of Vincent she never knew existed. In a story of transformation and unexpected romance, Alicia and Vincent learn that people can change, and even old enemies can evolve into something more. As senior year unfolds, they must confront their past, embrace the present, and decide if the emotions they've developed are authentic. **FAIR WARNING: YOU WILL HAVE TO BE PATIENT WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, BUT IT IS THERE, AND WORTH THE READ. IF YOU ARE OVERLY SENSITIVE, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK* Logan Pierce and Noah Locke are sworn enemies. Both at the top of their class, holding themselves to the highest standards; both captains of their volleyball teams, Logan as the girls captain, Noah as the boys; and both constantly playing seemingly harmless pranks to get back at one another. Or, at least, they're usually harmless... If one thing is true, Noah Locke and Logan Pierce are not friends. But does that mean they could never be friends? Or transcend their title as enemies? Logan might take things too far sometimes, but there's a reason behind the angry front she puts on, and in order to get behind it, someone needs to show her that there's more to life than being the best at everything. Cue Noah Locke. When the two volleyball teams are sent away to a team bonding camp for a week over Fall break, Logan and Noah must learn to get along for the sake of their teams. Partnered up and made to do activities together and bond, the goal is for Noah and Logan to stop this ongoing feud. And when something happens at the bonding camp that brings Logan's vulnerable side up to bat, Noah is the one who has to bring her back. While Logan and Noah explore something other than hatred for one another, there are secrets and people who could be working in toll to bring them apart. But will they be able to transcend those factors and stop fighting for once? Or were they destined to be enemies forever? "Better Than You" challenges the idea that enemies have to stay enemies forever, and proves that if you don't run away from love, you may just find where you were meant to be.

Aren't one sided crushes fun? NOT! 18 year old Melody Jenkins has spent the last 3 years of high school crushing on one guy, Jake Kensington, who sees her as no more than a sister from another mister and best friend. Not wanting to risk their friendship, Melody has kept her crush a secret and her emotions in check whenever she's around him... which is daily since they live on the same property. It's her senior year and she has made it through the past three years of high school with little social psychological trauma. That's excellent considering she goes to a school in Los Angeles where the majority of the bored students graduating will have executive paying jobs the moment they walk across stage. If all goes well, she will graduate as the valedictorian with multiple offers from colleges on the East Coast, far away from California. But when the health teacher announces a "special" project that requires students to be paired and live under the same roof for one week, Melody's world gets completely turned upside down. She is forced to spend time with someone totally opposite of her and frankly, she can't stand... or so she thought. One night of catching a glimpse of the softer side of Kyle Warner, the school's most popular and arrogant quarterback, has her heart pounding and her stomach doing flip-flops. But when Melody shows an ounce of affection toward Kyle, Jake discovers feelings of his own as he tries to protect his best friend from the guy he knows Kyle can be. As the project comes to an end, Melody goes to homecoming... will it be a night to remember, forget or both? Be advised, this contemporary Teen / Young Adult Romance story has some strong language and strong sexual connotation.
