What happens when Sonic gets sent back in time, unexpectedly to 50 years ago- to a time before Shadows tragedies, near the ones Shadow considered his cherished ones? As Sonic slowly sees the difference between "His" Shadow, and the Shadow before, he bonds and makes a connection he never knew he could have with the Ebony one.
He faces the issue of whether he can change Shadow's fate, or if some things are meant to happen no matter what. Sonic must decide to intervene and risk altering the timeline, or let the future unfold as it was always supposed too. What is the cost of trying to rewrite time, when you so desperately want to give hope to those you love?
