After the death of the Black Paladin - new generation and last - the remaining Paladins of Voltron are shaken to their core. Some are handling it better than others, or at least differently, but the fact remains that the initial objective is still in play: bring a new era of peace to the universe by ending the tyranny of Zarkon's reign. But now that Zarkon is gone and the ramifications of his regime are still being felt in shockwaves around the known universe, the true work begins for the Paladins - to unite as a team, a new team with new dynamics. Old traumas are ripped open, pains long forgotten refreshed, as a new face enters the playing field. How will the White Paladin's role in his new team change as the kaleidoscope is shifted? Will Voltron be the key to the end of the Galra Empire's tyranny? Or will it become an instrument of it?

Fifteen years into the future, the paladins we know and love are taken during a last-hurrah mission against some Galra resistance. As fate would have it, their children and proteges must travel the universe and fight to get them back, while also learning how to come to terms with their own identities and problems. Or a completely self-indulgent next generation voltron fan fiction :)keit
