The storm came without warning.

One moment, the 13th Carrier Strike Group was conducting routine exercises under clear skies. The next, a roiling mass of thunder, lightning, and unnatural energy swallowed them whole, tearing them from the world they knew.

Magic is their crutch. Their greatest strength has become their greatest weakness. They do not need to progress when spells can forge steel, heal wounds, and power their world. And because of that, they never built beyond their limits. Their war machines are outdated, their tactics obsolete, their understanding of destruction primitive.
