this takes place in ishigami village during winter right after they watch the sunrise with the village (so Senku is the chief and everything leading up to that is still the same) Tsukasa still believes Senku is dead and taiju and yuzuriha haven't heard from him just yet. Tsukasa is still trying to build the perfect stone world/army.

Hikari has always been friends with Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha. It's always been the four of them. While Taiju loved Yuzuriha and Yuzuriha loved Taiju, Hikari found herself falling head over heels in love with Senku. And she told blurted it out one time when they were real young that she wanted to stay by his side because she loved him. But it's been so long, she thought he'd forgotten, something illogical as that, wasn't something Senku paid attention to, but he paid attention to her. She was the only one he truly let into his heart aside from science. When the beam of light covers the sky, Hikari gets scared and looks to the only person that makes sense, Senku.
