Rei's life on Earth was ordinary-boring, even. A 17-year-old boy with no extraordinary talents, he lived day by day, wondering if there was more to life. One night, while walking home, he saw the sky split apart-a blinding rift of light engulfed him, and before he could react, he was falling through an endless void.
When he awoke, he found himself in a strange world beneath a triple-moon sky. The air crackled with invisible energy, the ground pulsed like a living being. He had no time to process this before a group of mages in ceremonial robes surrounded him.
"Welcome to Aetheris, traveler. Your arrival was foretold."
Rei was taken to Arcana Academy, a school for magic users. Though reluctant at first, he had no way back home. With no other choice, he studied magic, learning to harness mana-the essence of life itself. Though he struggled at first, he eventually mastered the basics and became one of the most promising students in his class.
During his time at the academy, Rei met four companions who would later become his lifelong allies:
Lyria - A fiery and confident mage specializing in elemental spells. She had an unbreakable will and often clashed with Rei, but they shared mutual respect.
Elyse - A quiet but mysterious girl with healing abilities. She seemed to have an unspoken connection to Rei, as if she knew something he didn't.
Kael - A tactical genius who wielded shadow magic, often the calm and collected one in the group.
Dain - A warrior-mage known for his unmatched swordsmanship, combining combat skills with magic.
Upon graduation, they set out to explore Aetheris, but the world they once thought was thriving was now falling apart.
Waking up in the body of a Romani Archiman is acceptable. Getting 3rd and 1st True Magics is nice. Getting Beasts as pets - delightful. The world of DxD is unforgivable. It's a world where some teenagers who aren't even two decades old somehow mystically defeat the descendants of legendary heroes, ancient demons, powerful dragons, etc. Why does this happen? Simply because! Simply put, this world only makes sense because it doesn't. And now, I have to put up with the fact that I live here. Such pain. (DxDxMulti)
