If you asked Myra if everything that is about to happen to her would be possible, she'd roll her eyes and say, "Girl, no!"
If her life were a movie, it would be a documentary about the people who don't take risks. It would run for five minutes because there would be nothing to narrate, and people wouldn't want to watch it. And she's not a lucky person, so she'd likely get three seconds of screen time from some unflattering angle.
But one day, she is swept up in a ridiculous manhunt. And the targets are a hot Native American intelligence agent Alex, and her - Myra! Both unlikely fugitives! Getting out of this mess won't be easy. But will she at least get to preserve her dignity? Hmm, her best friend wouldn't bet on it. Whatever, time is ticking, and it's all on Alex to clear their names and keep them safe because Myra has no friggin' idea what the heck is going on.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. That is until he sends Dylan. Dylan is able to locate Alex and gets her to return. Now that she's back, Deraci has set out to ruin everything and everyone she cares about. Alex tries to ignore Deraci, but somethings are just too hard to do alone. Then Alex is to be sent on a solo mission, but Dylan says it's too risky and convinces them to allow him to go with her.
