The Zodiacs led their own lives, freely and how they wanted, until a freak encounter with a 'sorcerer' forced them all to live together and to work together. 
It's pretty annoying, but they have to do it, for their safety. They must awaken each of their unique powers before evil overtakes the world, but most importantly, get through life without being screwed - which is easier said than done! It looks impossible and a lot of things are bound to go wrong, but they're the Zodiacs, they're gonna have to get through it. It is their destiny after all...
