have you ever thought about a fish in the hot lands of Hell? i suppose the answer is no, well for Algernon it seems to be his first goal, owning the perfect creature from Earth, just like the tradition requires, even if he didn't expect to find a siren in the shop and the demon happened to have eyes only for him
