Restrictions

I knew the rules.
I knew what was allowed, what wasn't - especially in a Ghanaian boarding school where silence is expected and respect is enforced.

But feelings don't follow rules.

I never planned to fall for Sir Felix. He was just my physics teacher - strict, distant, always in control. But the more I tried to ignore it, the harder it became. So I did something reckless.

I wrote him a letter.

Then I left for Easter break.

Now, school is back in session. He won't even look at me. He skips me during class. And every second I sit in that classroom feels heavier than the last.

My friends don't know. My best friend does.
And in this school, secrets are like fire - they spread.

I thought I could keep it hidden.
I thought I could move on.

I was wrong.
