It appears that scandal has once again graced our beloved Ton, and at its very heart stand none other than Miss Daphne Bridgerton and the brooding Duke of Hastings himself.

Once, they danced upon the edge of a whispered promise, but fate-oh, the fickle creature-saw fit to sever their bond with a heartbreak neither dares to speak of. A letter, lost to deception, a love torn asunder, and now, years later, the two find themselves entangled once more-this time, not by courtship, but by a wager so scandalous it has set every drawing room alight with speculation.
