No Work for Tinkers' Hands

Kristi has spent the better part of the last century watching the world change while she stayed the same-stuck in a dwindling profession that no one values anymore. Once, Fairy Godmothers were revered, weaving fate with careful hands. Now, they're bureaucratic relics, restricted to granting blessings to newborns and left to fade into irrelevance.

Kristi, however, went rogue.

She never intended to break the rules. It just started small-whispering good luck to a desperate teenager before an exam, slipping an extra bit of warmth into a homeless man's coat. The fey wouldn't care. They barely paid attention anymore. But when Kristi granted a wish to an adult-something specific, something kind, something not allowed-she became a problem.

Now, two agents from the Fey Oversight Bureau are after her. And they're not the only ones.
