jay, jaylen, jayjay, what ever he got called by the ones who were around. the time was 1989 and 10 year old jaylen had just moved in on melrose avenue, just him, his older brother who was in 9th grade at the time, and his single mother. jaylen sees a group of young boys around his age and decides to go try and make some new friends, the 5 other boys his met seemed to be really cool because their mothers didn't really give a shit what they did. about two weeks of hanging out with the boys did jaylen realize that only one of them did not like him, santiago, his mother raised him to hate african american people and so he did. finally, it all comes down to a game of truth or dare that changed their lives forever.
