The dead crawl from their graves. Well, not really. A sickness, rather. That is what seemed to have caused the post apocalyptic world Gywneth was attempting to survive in.

Not live. No, no one was living now. 

Living insinuated some type of thriving. Enjoying life, having fun, having family. 

Everyone now? They hardly had that. Gwyneth sure didn't. She wasn't thriving. She didn't enjoy life. She wasn't having fun. The only person she could call her family was her father, Jim. That was it. Everyone else had been ravaged, or bit, or somehow gotten the fever, and that made quick work if them.
