Cat & Mouse

I want a straight answer, a yes or a no
And yet after all this time, it's still an "I don't know"
Should I love you, or just let go?
Should you be my partner, or my painful foe?

This game of cat and mouse has gone on for too long
And maybe we've been going about it all wrong.
Love is supposed to make me happy, not cause me stress
But this really has put my mental health to the test.

I'm tired of waiting so just tell me:
Am I wasting my time making this plea?
Will you ever, one day, fully love me?

Luke and Parker were two close friends on their high school soccer team.

Parker is known for being a bit of a playboy. Not because he wants to break girl's hearts, but because he often loses interest after about two months. He's never been able to just...connect with someone.

Luke, on the other hand, has never even had his first kiss. As a boy who's grown up hearing he's not 'manly enough' from his father, he often sees himself as not grown up or too feminine since he likes to crochet and is considered skinny for his age.

The two were close friends, but Luke was always hoping for something more. Finally, around Valentine's Day, he mustered up enough courage to tell Parker how he feels.

But will that really give him the happy ending he's been dreaming of?
