MONRO HIS EXPEDITION WITH THE WORTHY SCOTS REGIMENT CALLED MAC-KEYES THE MEMOIRS OF GENERAL MONRO 1626-1634 Published by the Ex-classics Project, 2017 THIS ETEXT IS IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN The Thirty Years' War was one of the great catastrophes of the Seventeenth Century in Europe. It started as an attempt by the Holy Roman Emperor to suppress the Protestants of Bohemia (modern Czech Republic) and metastasized into a war involving most of the countries of continental Europe, who fought, massacred, sacked and plundered back and forth across Germany for decades. In addition to the various German and Austrian states, there were Spaniards and Italians, Swedes and Danes, Poles, Finns and Croats. At a late stage the French became involved, surprisingly on the Protestant side. In addition, there were hired troops of mercenaries from the British Isles. Robert Monro was an officer in such a Scottish regiment, which served first the King of Denmark and afterwards the great King of Sweden Gustavus Adolphus. Readers of Scott's A Legend of Montrose will have come across references to Monro in Scott's Introduction to that novel; and the character of the swashbuckling cavalier Dugald Dalgetty is based on Monro. The Swedish historian Magnus Bengtsson wrote a long account of Monro in his collection A Walk to an Ant Hill and other essays (Norstedt and Soners, Stockholm, 1950) Monro's service ran from 1626 to 1634, when he was sent back to Scotland to recruit more soldiers. While he was there, the Swedes and their allies suffered a crushing defeat at the Battle of Nördlingen. His occupation gone, he turned to the pen, and wrote this account of his adventures which was published in 1637. It is one of the first, if not the first, accounts of the war in English from a participant, unvarnished and showing alike the courage, brutality and atrocity of war.Kumpleto

THE OLD KAMIKAZE HEADBAND
This story had its beginning during the Pacific War in 1944, in the eastern part of the British North Borneo territory. It was about a young Japanese Kamikaze pilot who was shot down over the abandoned prisoners ' camp in Sandakan. He was to die when his Zero Fighter plane was down by a sniper but he did not. When he regained his consciousness, he found himself wandering among the smothering fires of Sandakan Town. He was rescued and brought him to the medical post where he was treated as suffering from mental breakdown. He was later listed as missing and never to be found again. Twenty years later, two Japanese tourists came to visit an ex-prisoner at the local hospital whom they said had the old Kamikaze Headband since the end of the Pacific War. When the men acquired the Old Kamikaze Headband, they disappeared into the thin air, leaving behind a bottle of clear liquid which cured his ailments. Task force 141 was one of the best forces that the military has ever created there were over dozens of members but each of them died in battle trying to stop the Russians and the Americans from destroying each other one day there was the last six remaining members were going to their final mission to kill the Russian man that killed thousands of innocent people, soldiers and his own men the remaining task force 141 went to stop him as they shoot their way through his men until four of the members were going to take the shot the part the building that they were standing on falls into the ocean but for some reason when four members went back to the surface they noticed that the city was destroyed and machines were roaming around the one thing they knew was "where the hell are we" .
