When Katie's parents divorced, the fear of commitment developed, eventually taking over her relationships. The words ‘I love you’ feared Katie the most because that meant commitment, which would eventually lead to heartbreak.

When Bryce Anderson- the most popular guy in Lake Wood High- professes his love to Katie, she freaks out and ends her relationship with him. Bryce starts to spread rumours about how they broke up to save his reputation, making Katie want to seek revenge.

The mission was only supposed to make Bryce’s life a living hell, however Katie starts to find herself falling in love for the very first time and she doesn't know how to make it stop.

The Lifeguard Hates You (Completed)

92 parts Complete

Yeah, if you could stop pretending to be dead that would be great. -- A satirical romance revolving around the lives of a Spa's pool lifeguard team. -- Jay has hated Rory for as long as he's known her. Rory has loved Jay since she first laid eyes on him. This has not made life at the Earth and Body spa easy for anyone on the All-Year Lifeguard team. But this year, everything's going to change. Suddenly, Rory has a backbone, one that Jay's not so sure he appreciates. No longer will she put up with Jay's grumpy, uninterested attitude. She's 100% done bending over backwards for him and being in love with him. That's all easier said and done, especially when bunking accommodations are changed and guess who Rory's new roommate is. Now Bryce, the leader of the rival lifeguard team from the spa across the lake, is showing interest in her. Something Rory isn't certain she trusts. Is his interest in her genuine, or is he only interested in using her as a pawn in the feud between him and Jay? Either way, she definitely likes how angry this all seems to be making Jay. Rory finds herself in a strange new position. Two men are seemingly vying for her attention, dark secrets from her past are threatening to resurface, and the patrons are being nothing short of obnoxious. Will this summer be the summer of changes, or the summer everything comes to an end? Accolades 🥈 2nd Place - Romance Category - The Katana Awards
